Default STI7 ECU into STI8

Does anyone know if an Ecu from a UK STI7 can be fitted to a UK STI8?

AFAIK the only difference between the two is a sensor that has it only the V8 ECU (if my memory serves me right is fuel temp sensor but I am not sure) and an STI8 works if fitted to the STI7.
It could be wrong though, ask better the profs!

There never was a UK STi7, it was JDM only so it won't run the car.

Keep trying Mike - one day people might stop using silly version numbers to confuse things rather than year of manufacture, but I wouldn't hold my breath . . .

You are correct Mike but I guess he means MY01-02 (when he says ver7) vs MY03-04 (ver8) ECU.
