ECU questions
I am changing my exhaust and fitting a panel filter.
Will the ECU cope?
What is the best chip to gain performance without ruining the engine?
Any tuners that people would recomend for rolling road and ECU set up?
Thank you for your time guys

you dont mention what model year of car you are talking about, that makes a big difference.
many before you have fitted full decat and panel filters without any sort of remap.
there may be a slight issue with boost spikes though, try a search of the archives on here.
I cant answer comprehensively about chipping, David Wallis maight be able to do you a scoobyECU for your car/mods, I would avoid superchips at all costs.
by far the best method is to get an aftermarket ECU such as apexi/gems/link/TEK£ if you run a 99/00 onwards.
the most cost effective method in my eyes is to get your mods done, then look into saving for an apexi ECU mapped by Andy Forrest.
If you are a southerner then Bob Rawle does TEK3 mapping and is another very respected tuner.
again try looking through the archives for previous peoples answers.
good luck and happy modding

I would not recommend having your ecu set up on a rolling road unless you are only going to drive on rolling roads.
if you drive on the road then it makes sense to get your mapping done on the road, its a jolly good wheeze as well.
