engine problems
does anyone have any info on the head bolt sequence also has any one taken an engine out before require help. have undone all bolts that attach gearbox onto block and the engine mounts but it still seams attached
Dont know the headbolt tightening sequence without looking it up...Have you tried the manuals on Ravensblade?
If you've undone all the bell housing bolts and the 2 nuts holding the engine mounts to the subframe, then it's probably just binding on the 2 dowels between the engine and box. They have a habit of locking the engine and box together. I've always managed to persuade them to part by carefully tapping a large flat blade screwdriver between the two, and working my way round with it.
I find that lifting the entire engine and box on the engine hoist helps the engine mount studs to clear the subframe.- You could always lower drop the subframe a bit though
I take it that you have already released the clutch arm, by extracting the pivot pin
It can take a bit of 'persuasion' to get the engine and box apart for the first time...Make sure you apply copperslip to the dowels when you put it back together
Good Luck
