WHICH INTERCOOLER FOR 01
#2
If you're talking about a bugeye wrx then an STI top mount will be good enough for up to 350 BHP possibly more and is a straight swap.
If you're aiming for more power then a FMIC is the way to go.
Unless you're going for lots of power most wouldn't bother with an induction kit but use a decent panel filter in the OE box such as an STI or Green although there are some to avoid due to the gunk they leave behind.

Which make of what........intercooler or air filter ?
If you're not going for big power then an induction kit is probably not necessary so possibly bad advice there.
I run an STI filter on my 01 bugeye, you've just missed a group buy but they are easily obtainable from here and other places.
I also run an STI top mount, these pop up quite a lot on e-bay and in the F/S forum. There are better aftermarket top mounts and FMIC but if you're not going for huge power the STI top mount is more than capable and reasonably cheap second hand (£250.00 should buy a goodun).

Cheers Chris,
Im thinking 350+bhp, motec already fitted+ induc kit, next FMIC then internals,
what make and are any engine bay mods needed.(not doing the work myself) just want to know before buying.

Hmmmmmmm, if you're going past 350 then you'll probably need to sort the clutch and possibly gearbox too. If memory serves Ninybobs has been running approx 350 on the standard clutch and gearbox but anything over that and you're probably pushing it.
If you've already done the MOTEC that's a good start, you'll also need to sort out the turbo, injectors, fuel pump and a quite a bit more to achieve over 350bhp. Afraid I'm not up on what's the best FMIC as I don't intend on going this far with my car.

Kev,
I have been running 350+ bhp for the last 20k miles on origainal gearbox and clutch. Although I am waiting for 'The Bang' !!!!!!
I am now running with an APS FMIC in conjunction with Roger Clark Induction. I have just had a TD05 18g fitted and will know more about the results of this after Sundays RR session.
Cheers
