Default STi 3, Stock and Safe boost?

Hi All,

Can anyone help me as to what the standard boost should be on an STi 3 and also what boost it will be safe to run with a correctly mapped PFC, Decat, full exhaust and intake.

Thanks in advance.

Not too sure but I think standard is around 16-17psi. With re-map and de-cat 20psi max to stay safe if your running a standard VF23

Surely I can go up just 3 P.S.I with only a boost controller though?! Or does the ECU map not have enough fuelling in reserve even for this?

My STI 4 did not like anything above 16psi with de-cat. Knockink would flash away. I now have Power FC and TD05 etc but I have heard the VF does not like much more than 20 psi
