Default Dump Valves

I fancy putting a dump valve on my classic for a while. I've had them on other cars and they were car specific, Escort RS Turbo for example, as in i had to have a piston type not diaphram.

Are there set types for the classic and if so what's a good one to go for without forking out a couple of hundred on one.

Cheers,

Matt.
