Question Bigger turbo on early WRX?

I have a 94wrx that uses a 90deg bend on the front of the turbo. I have a turbo with a 76mm entry and wondered if there is enough room to fit a 76mm 90deg bend rather than raise the inlet manifold and run the intake underneath. Anyone done this?

at the moment, i have a top entry TD05 on my car. i dont want to raise my inlet manifold to allow the inlet pipe to run under the manifold(front entry).I have a new turbo with a 76mm inlet to it. is there enough room between the turbo and the back of the inlet manifold to fit a 76mm, 90degree samco bend to allow me to continue to run a top entry turbo?
