2-Pot Caliper identification
Hello chaps....
Does anyone know what the deal is with regards to the std 2-pot calipers on uk turbos with regards to model year changes?
i.e did subaru many many different types of 2-pot caliper or are they all the same part number/take the same pads e.t.c
The reason i ask is that i have bought a full turbo setup for my sport and am re-furbishing them. The scooby garage need to know the chassis no. or the model year of the car that they came off so they can sort me our a set of new seals.
I bought them off the forums and cant get in touch with the chap to get the lowdown so am a bit stuck!
Any help greatly appreciated.

up to around '97 then all of the 2pot calipers are the same impreza or legacy turbo.....................after this then the forester, impreza, leggy, etc. all got a new style 2pot caliper...............both different pads!!
the early ones have a cut-out on the short side of the pad that locates in the caliper (picture here - http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/i...p?image=DP2966)
the later style have a 'tab' on each end to locate in the caliper (picture here - http://www.ebcbrakesdirect.com/car/i...?image=DP21134)
links used for clarity.....................
