I don't know if this is common but I have a green light next to my 2 fog lamp switches on my MY00 - which flashes once when I activate the indicators and stays on when turning on the hazards - what is it?

Only just noticed it flashing after 2 years of ownership... (doh)

 

Something to do with towbar fitment I believe, I had one too till I removed it.

I assume it's to say the electrical connector thingumy is working OK/
