lambda sensors

Default lambda sensors

just fitted new clutch and decat front pipe today does anyone know what the small sensor is for that goes in the original cat i know the top ones definately a lambda sensor the bottom one looks like a heat sensor ? maybe just wondered if it is needed as there's no hole for it in the decat pipe and left it tied up underneath hasnt affected anything yet cheers

sounds like heat sensor, so do not need it.

I think its a heat sensor as well. The diagram is a little misleading, IIRC yours is same as mine, cat wise, only cats are in downpipe and centre. Which r no longer there.

cheers for the help like i said it hasnt made any difference without it, the diagram looks different to mine both sensors i had were in the front pipe

dyllan, be interested to know if u get any warning light on the dash, with the missing "heat" sensor.

BTW what does it feel like with the new downpipe on.

my97 wagon feels a lot more responsive plus noisier you can hear the turbo and dump valve clearer now well worth doing not sure whats next though chips maybe
