Default Which Headers?

I am thinking of fitting aftermarket headers to my sti2.

Not sure if I should go for equal or unequal.
Dont really want to lose the scooby rumble, but if equal length ones are significantly better, I will go for those.

Any comments from people with experience of this would be greatly appretiated.
Thanks.

Ive seen several that have used some sort of heat wrapping tape! to insulate the headers. Is this really needed or is it just wasted money?
Was thinking it might transport away the heat or something with the stuff on.

Does it have any influence on the effect?

iirc, the wrap keeps heat in, speeding up velocity of the gas and hences getting rid quicker.

could be wrong though, quite often am
