Question Rev Counter feed???????

Does anyone know where the rev counter gets its feed from?

Damn thing stopped working and trying to locate where it gets its pulse from.

Narrowed it down to the engine bay lol

hi m8,
just fitted a rev counter, the wire is connected to ecu. You can also access behind counter....if u pull out your counter. the rear of the counter unit has 3 blocks of wires going into it. Pull out the 1st block of wires which should be the left side if u are looking at the back. If i am right it should be the wire at the bottom row right... last one. check if any signal from there. It could be the counter faulty.
you might want to check wire, same colour at ecu front of passenger foot well.
hopethis will help u.

The rev counter gets its feed from the ecu, the cable runs from the ecu to the clocks... Cant tell you exactly what pin it is at the moment..

Depends on the shift light and its requirements.

HI,
I sprint my RA and wanted to fit a shift light I have some info about what the signal is somewhere but it is a strange signal not a simple rising voltage !!!! will mail you the info. The pickup wire is where mentioned above will check the ecu pin outs for you.
