Induction kit and heat
hi andy
i have a hks induction kit on mine, i had it r.roaded at pro-sport and the guys told me i was taking in to much hot air and needed to put the old box back on or put something there to reduce the heat getting to it.
I (well & me mates!)have managed to make a heat shield that goes over and around the kit and it seems to run far better. I have a cold air pipe going straight to the area where the ind. kit sits too.
Made it from galv (get loads from work f.o.c!) and shaped it to go from the wing infornt of the boost solenoid to the intake pipe, then along to the black cylinder breather thing (cant remember what its called!) then made a easy release lid to cover, it also stops the water going into the induction from the bonnet vent.
Just bought a compressor and paint kit stuff, so will be spraying red to match. pm me if you want details how to make it and i will try to email pics if you want.
