Default Tek 2 or Tek 3 remap for a Newage

From what i can gather, a a Tek 2 is an off the shelf map, a Tek 3 is a custom map, set up on your car to you own mods. Or am i talking cr@p??

Is there any liciencing issues with a Tek 2 if you go back for a second remap after mods later on??

Get the Tek3 and stop trying to save a couple of quid False economy IMO. Whats the point in more modding if your not getting the most out of the mods you've already got!

newage re-map will most likely be a tek3 from your local ecutek mapper.

this will be a custom map to your car..increasing fueling, boost etc etc....

once the car has been ecutek'd..all further mapping is priced at £125-£200 (depending on the mapper)...but it has to go back to the mapper who did it orignally....else they have to start from scratch, and the £650 fee is applicable.

Considering going to Powerstation, API (when "Pat the mapper" is there next) or TSL (although a bit too far away for me)

Dont think its as simple as saying the TEK3 is a false economy

I have had a TEK2 on a UK MY99 and it was very impressive

It entirely depends on what mods you have. Granted the TEK3 will be more precise to your car, but the TEK2 is a very good bit of kit, partuculary if your mods are just a decat and filter.

The Xtreme price makes the TEK3 a lot more favorable though.

My STi5 is being TEK3'd because of the mods on it and the fuelling conversion (also because tek2 isnt an option!), but I still think it depends on circumstance...

Think I paid about £650.. but bob maps it on the road, not on rollers...so you get 3 hours of fast road work thrown in.....

much more fun than watching your car thrash on rollers for that length of time

That seems a pretty standard price looking around (unless you get a GB).

Very close to getting this done!!

Powerstation do the tek3 for £650 inc the VAT.

My car is amazing now.

They have no wmoved and are having a cel built for thier new dyno. It won't be finished for another 3-4 weeks though.

Top Job

I assume powerstation initially set it up on the rolling road then finish it off on road ?? They were top of my list anyway, as i have delt with them before.
