Default need some more power

i have a 2003 sti ppp, but still wan more power. i have a de-cat exhaust, and a bailey dump valve. what's the best way to get more speed without having to go into re-maps as i just dont have the cash and i live in cornwall which is too far away from anyone who does it anyway. well as far as i know!!!

You could try increasing your boost slightly by using a Mechanical Boost Controller.

You would have to keep a close eye on your engine, and I have been led to believe that the Prodrive ecu may not adapt as well as the standard ecu.

I'm sure someone else will be along with some more constructive comments.

thanks for your reply, i have been told that i can't increase the boost without the fuel cut coming in???

a fuel cut defencer will sort that little problem, had one fitted to my car for about 100 quid ish.

the boost peaks at 18psi, will raising it a little to say 21 be a problem??

o.k. no probs, could you tell me the best electronic boost controller out there, bearing in mind im not rich. dont like the apexi as there;'s nowhere to put it!! also when fitting an electronic boost controller, would i have to remove the restrictor valve???
