could i put an ecu off another motor that is mapped on to mine i.e is there the same uk turbo my 97 ,,,,,, as ive had quotes of a grand for a new remap and not really that much fussed about a remap if its a grand for a uk turbo ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,


if it is correct ,,,,,,,,,,,, does anyone know of anyone selling an ecu that would work on a my 97 uk turbo !

a cheaper option, but not as good as the the Apexi is to source a Prodrive ECU. This should fit straight in, and then with immobiliser and keys reprogrammed shouldn't give you any hassle.

They are hard to find but put a request on www.findapart.co.uk and see if you get any replies. I was looking for ages and then found one through that website.

 

Depends what modifications are done to the other car compared to yours... personally i'd get it remapped. Once you have the ecu a rempa should be in the order of £200-£300.

As for the Apexi.... i have one and find it very good. I do remap mine myself and have had no concerns over teh ecu's ability.
