Once the nut is off you will have to hold it whilst sitting in the drivers seat and repeatedly pull on both sides of the wheel at the same time in a rocking type motion, this should shift it but keep your face out the way or when it does move, usually when you giving it your all, it will come off and tw#t you in the mush.

You can get steering wheel pullers (Halfrauds) or hire one maybe..? Sometimes the splines can be quite tight and if you've tried banging (from behind) one side then the other and it ain't buddged then you'll need a puller..!

The steering shaft has a tapered spline. As already said, give the wheel a hard yank with both hands on one side, then the other. Honestly, thats all it takes. If it still won't budge, spray some wd40 on it.
