my cars engine light is flashing code 12 and won't start
code 12 is starter switch ?

 

Ignition barrel basically - it's not getting the signal to the ECU that the key is the right one and inserted. What car is it?

 

it started this morning then went down road thougt it run out off petrol but was over line so thougt it was funny so got some more anyway so towed it home checked lidght and that's what it was flashing .right key it's 92 wrx

 

anyone else any ideas still won't start they is a spark and petrol it's trying little pops then dies ?

sounds like a problem with your fuel pump or fuel pump relay. Can you hear the pump run at all?
