Default PRODRIVE ECU FAULT.

I've now found out,thx to eddieh ,that the prodrive ecu i have runs his car but wont tick over so ya have to rev it constantly. it is showing "error code 24" which im told is the idle control valve so im guessing the ecu has a fault as this is exactly how it ran my old car. Is this a fault worth getting looked at, if so by whom or shall i skip it.
any help much appreciated.

What MY is it?

Just to clarify, you've swapped your mates ECU with a Prodrive on, and the Prodrive one won't let it idle? You need to reset it to as it will have memorised the settings from the last car it was on, as all cars vary slightly in terms of sensor outputs etc... Either that or you have unmasked a genuine fault on the car.

Hmm, not sure.

Very surprised that a Prodrive ECU from a MY99 has an STi badge on it.... although ive never seen one in the flesh. Are you sure it came from an RB5?

DBM the Prodrive ECU's are remapped STI units - I have the same pink STI sticker on my PPP ECU albeit for a MY00

Ah

Then I am stumped! ISCV faults can occur as the result of a failed MAF / 02 as they try and correct the idle fault, but gives a value outside the expected, thus giving the fault. At least ive seen it on my last STi...

Well ECU's can fail - no reason I suppose that a Prodrive one shouldn't fail ?

You just need to find someone with a PPP ECU near you and try fitting it and see what happens then.
