Question What mpg do you get???

Right then, i'm currently getting 25 mpg on my 95MY Import WRX Wagon (not re mapped) and am wanting to know if this is good, bad, or indifferent from other scoobies. (my current thinking is that this is kinda average).
Please post you mpg here, vehicle type etc. Ta

MY2000 + gems ecu, averages 20 consistently, best on a run 24, worst on a faster run, ahem, 16mpg over a full tank. Enjoyed it tho.
Best not to worry about it or give it too much thought.
I just check occasionally to ensure all is well, and that it hasn't all of a sudden become economical. Daz.

Usually 24 round town and 28 to 30 on a sedate motorway cruise.

Remapped and decatted UK MY96.

Bugeye WRX. Usually between 24-28MPG, depending on amount of stop-start journeys. Top average so far is 30MPG mixture of long run, country lanes, hills, towns and a few burn ups. Maybe the secret is I use the power to get away in second/third but let the car coast down when approaching roundabouts and I hang well back in traffic and anticipate ahead so I don't have to keep braking and accelerating. One day, if I can stop myself doing a few boost sessions, I am going to try to do a sedate long run and see if I can reach towards 40MPG - but only the once mind just to see if it's possible.

It would be better to put mileage the car has covered alongside the mpg figure as I have noticed a HUGE difference since my car was new in May 2000.

When new - up to about 30,000miles it was around 22mpg

30,000 to 50,000 it went up to about 25mpg

Now, she sits at 55,000 and I get 30mpg easily ..... I ran her in well when she was new (maybe that has an effect now?)

Less than 20mpg on a MY00 with a TEK3. Wish it was a bit more as Shell Stations are not that common round my way!

MY 04 STi +ppp covered 12K miles is doing between 17 - 20mpg thats a mix of keeping it under 3000 rpm on good A roads and a bit of motorway at 4000rpm ish and the odd blast.

Tried really hard not to use it over 3k rpm for a tank full to see what I would get............Ha ha ha topped it up at half a tank couldn't be doing any more of that....22mpg.... no will power. Would make my day if I could get 25mpg out of it though, think I should try a long run just to see.

94 WRX HKS tubular manifold and Blitz cat-back, only worked it out once and over 138 miles I did 22.4 MPG which wasn't bad.

But then at 142 MPH you can watch the needle drop!! Which is one reason I have only been that fast once!!!!

Where's Rusty (or should that be Mr Feather-Foot?)

Best I've managed was 321 to a full tank on the M6, It's an MY00 with only decat centre plus backbox. It's had an STI filter in since then and I reckon it's more efficient now...

Cool

Cheers for all the feedback guys.
Done some totally dull calculations and baring in mind the different vehicles, mods, etc very very ball park.
Taking into account all the responses that have posted a rough average for the vehicle, the average of all vehicles is 21 mpg. Probably what we should expect so .........hmmmmm I think 'trails' says it best .....

Not owned it for long, so this isn't the fairest result...

1998 Classic saloon, 58k. Standard apart from P1 backbox and a TSL decat.

Over the last 100 miles or so, 22.8mpg. All town based. I expect it to rise to around 25mpg as the novelty of the Scoob wears off a little. Hoping for 28mpg+ on a run, but we'll have to wait and see.

05 WRX 3000 miles:

22 mpg (mostly local journeys <5 miles)

Seems a bit better (~25) on m'way.

It would be nice, as mentioned, if this does improve with milage..! I've never spent so much on fuel..!

Cor, get this. My second tank was quite harsh - had to help someone meet a strict timetable, so it was a very mixed usage tank. Stuck in traffic, quick stints down lanes, good blast down the motorway(around 60 miles at what are, quite frankly, silly speeds), followed by a load of town use.

Got 26.8mpg. Can't grumble at that . 1998MY Classic...

Whenever I get figures like that, I usually start adding it up again only to find out that I had got it wrong the first time. Daz

Just a thought..besides driving styles..mpg bound to be influenced by lower spooling turbos
