subaru downpipe.
Can anyone help me, i need to know if the downpipe is the same for the classic and new age subarus.
The top picture is an USA downpipe for an 02+ wrx or sti.
The bottom picture came from uk classic shape.
Are all subaru dowmpipes the same, or is there different ones for different turbos?

They are the same. Though there are different lengths depending on brand and whether it is USDM, JDM, etc. Supposedly the '05 STi has a slightly different shape because the firewall is different, but I'm not sure. Generally though, they are interchangable.

I bought a complete turbo back Magnex from J-W-Racing 2 years ago for my 01 WRX. First I installed the cat back section myself which fitted perfectly with the OE downpipe and 3rd cat section. Then went to Subarugarage for fitment of downpipe which couldn“t fit the catback section. The downpipe was too short by 4 inches. Called JW to ask what was wrong. He replied that my Euro spec WRX bought in belgium was a JDM or USDM car!!
Subarugarage told me the downpipe was intented for the classic turbo model.
