I have been working on the car today and notice that the intocooler has been crushed in a number of places. I guess through bugs or stones. There are no holes, the cooling fins are just crushed flat.

1. Will the damage harm my performance?
2. If it needs replacing, can I get a better top mounted cooler?

Use a toothpick or similar to open the fins back out. It can be tedious but works well.
