Let me know where to get them and maybe I'll let you know The standard ones on my STI are awful
Also, what doesn't help is that the jets from the washer nozzles are so weak that they can't reach the top of the screen at anything above about 30mph - does anyone else have this problem? The car's new, they can't possibly all be blocked up already...

Nah, they're not blocked...just $hite. My Golf GTI from a couple of years ago had fantastic jets. Get the wiper blades from Scoobyworld. Approximately £40 for them both. You have to scrub the windscreen, then wipe with special supplied silicone and isopropyl alcohol wipes. You then let the silicone 'set' for 10min before rubbing with a dry cloth. Once the wipers are installed you have to let them wipe a dry screen for 5 min (looking like a pillock to passers-by in the sunshine!). Then you are ready to go. Highly recommended. It rained later today and I didn't have to put the wipers on!

I would agree that the PIAA blades are very good, However, I didn't find that they lasted that long. Decent quality blades, such as Bosch, will do the job fine with RainX properly applied. PIAA and RainX suffer from the same problem - if you don't prepare the screen properly (ie thoroughly cleaned and de-greased) then they are nowhere near as effective as they should be.

So what! They dont advertise themselves as alternatives to Rain-X treatment plus purchase of other blades, nor do they instruct you to use them without the treatment. The beading is everything to do with the silicone. The treatment with the wipe (containing much more silicone than that which is laid down by the wiper) is the fundamental to the whole PIAA experience! Why did you think that not following the makers instructions then gives you the right to criticise their product? What's your point? (By the way I do not have any shares in PIAA!)

Both our cars have been using silicone bladed wipers (not PIAA though) for the last 3-4 yrs. Performance is streets ahead of any normal wipers I've ever used and after a couple of months the wipers leave a film of silicone on the windscreen that means the water runs off and you can drive in light rain without wipers.
p.s. we live in the wettest part of the UK so they are used a lot...
p.p.s they don't squeak either..
