Default EGT Sensor

Where do you fit an EGT sensor, before of after the turbo?

It is a question that I'm looking for the answer as well but I made some searches.

Read lots of topic about it, the general consensus is to place it in the number three exhaust manifold about 2-3 inches from the head. If you place it here you will have the highest tempreture readings. #3 is known as the leanest running cyclender.

You could also place it in the uppipe if you would like to read the avarage of four cyclender tempreture. As far I as I know Subaru placed EGT in the uppipe on some models?

Lastly, you could also put it in the downpipe after the turbo before the cats. You will get 100-150c lower readings.

I've no suggestion to you because I haven't decided where to place my egt probe yet. Today I just made some researches and shared with you.

It's your choice now!
