Got to disagree.... up to MY98 is 208bhp, phase two engine (MY99/00) are 215bhp.

looks like the rolling road test for me, i don,t no whats been done to the car but i must say it is quick,

 

I stand corrected, it was the torque figure that remained unchanged phase 1 to phase 2 MY97 on.

Take a pic under the bonnet for us to have a look for anything obvious. Has it got a non standard exhaust system?

I've not had my my97 turbo for long and it stills feels pretty rapid; certainly compared to my last car - 150bhp 16v cavalier sri. I thought it might have been modified but I think it is due to it being lighter as well as having 60 bhp more.
Also the exhaust is standard and from what I've learnt so far these are quite restrictive so it wouldn't make sense to say remap/chip it etc w/o changing the exhaust first.
