Completely normal behaviour, you can't manoeuvre with it locked. Set it to fully open (bottom green) or auto for parking and you'll be fine. This is a very common worry from people who are new to DCCD, your car is OK.

Yep - normal. You lock the diff, expect low speed hi-deflection manouvers to bind up the system, then something has to give. Tyres or mech bits, with no slip to match the differing rotating speeds of the 4 different corners you are going to get that everytime (unless something has broken and is not locking up properly with the diff set to lock mode).

Hint, your not suppose to use lock, its unstable on the road and should only be used for loose surfaces (ie gravel) for which it was designed for.
