Default Sti Quick Rack

Is there any way of identifying physically between a Quick Rack, and normal Rack

I mean off the car unfitted, I know the difference between them on the car

Cheers

Clip vice-grips lightly to the input shaft and count the number of turns it takes to go from lock to lock. Also its worth checking the amount of travel you get at the track ends to compare with your existing. The new-age sti quick-racks for example have reduced travel, apparently to protect the cv joints.
