Default Difference between 2003 STI and WRX...

New to the site so hi to all!

I'm looking at buying a 2003 Impreza after seeing what they look like with the newish Do-Luck body kit:

But to save some money in the first place I was hoping to get away with buying just the 2003 WRX version for around £12,500 based on that fact I would be changing bodykit, seats, suspension, wheels, uprate gearbox to STI, etc. I thought why spend the money on an STI when I am gonna change most of the STI features anyway.

What are the major differences apart from those above. Are the STI and WRX engines the same? I already know about the DCCD.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers all ,

Nick

the gear box, diffs, engine are worth the extra alone - you will alway be able to sell sti parts for good money , WRX parts are far to common

trust me I have a 02 wrx

just get the sti with PPP to start with!! may work out a lot cheaper in the long run.
