Red face Advise needed

Hi all,
My Friend as just bought a brand new BMW Diesel, However he has just filled it up with Petrol
Just what kind of Damage will he have done??

First things first has he driven it? On an older diesel i would say a little petrol wouldn't hurt, but because of all the sensors etc, the change in fuel would not go down well. Best thing to do is syphon the fuel out using a hose pipe, but if it has an anti syphon thingy then look for a drain plug in the tank failing that take her to the garage as it most probably high pressure common rail and thats not good to mess about with that!
