Default Knocking from drivers side front wing.....

I've had this problem on and off for the last six months or so. I've been to the dealer three times and they have road tested but can never hear it. It's very intermittent....

When I pull away, or turn to the right when accelerating at low speeds (mini roundabout etc) I hear a single knock from the front right wheel area. Sometimes it happens fifteen times in an hour, sometimes not for weeks. I can't seem to reproduce it when I want to, though!!!

It was suggested it may be the new brake discs, but the dealer has checked these. Occaisonally I can almost "feel it" happen, too, but this could be me being over sensitive....

As I say, the dealer can't help.... Anyone had anything similar, please?

Cheers...........

Could possibly be the baffle plates (anti rattle plates) sticking and then jumping
back into line,on your new disc pads. You haven't got mud flaps on your car have
you could be they are fouling against the wheel on occasions.

Thanks, but no mud flaps and they assure me they've moved the discs and greased them a little.....

It's a real knock, no build up or rubbing noises. I've checked anything that could be loose with a spanner under the bonnet and under the car......

Have you checked Wheel Bearing, could be one on verge of collapsing,
or possibly a dry cv joint.can't think of anything else at the mo.

Damper tube top bush where rod enters? Does it happen after braking? I was wondering if you have a sticky piston which gets knocked back when moving again and you hear that.

That sounds plausible, cheers. It happens during a slow turn to the right, or from pull away going straight, or right.... Thanks everybody, I;ll run these past my dealer, but any other suggestions most appreciated!!
