Question Inside boot light won't work (MY99 UK)

Hi all,

my light inside the boot has stopped working....... and i don't know why.

i've checked the bulb, thats works. And i've had a volt meter across the bulb connector and it will only read 0.68volts, thats with the boot open and shut, lights on and off, doors open, glove box open, i've probably tried everything.

I've also checked all the fuses and they are ok.

Does anybody know where the sensor is, so i can try and back track the wiring or is there something else that triggers the light to come on.

thanks in advance

The thing that makes the light come on is next to the boot catch on the car it's a small black plastic topped plunger mine is dodgy on my MY93 some times it works some times it doesn't
