How to remove those plastic wind deflectors..
On both side of my classic are wind deflectors.... look a bit dodgy to me and no dought serve a purpose... but not really my bag.
Looking for some top tips or do I just go at them with a good tug..
A couple of screws seem to hold on the item... but also a lot of other 'gunk' could be glue..or simply just a seal? Tempted to unscrew and have a bash at peeling the wind defllector off but not really wanting a paint job on my hands... anyone removed them?

use a fine razor to slice through the double sided tape part way will do then gently pull them off -- remove residue of tape with spirit /thinners/petrol on a rag etc
dont forget to undo the 3 screws per side hidden behind the rubber door seals
bang em on ebay they sell for £50

Had these on my Forester, and they were a TOTAL S.O.B to sort out.
I found that the thinners softened the paint, and then scratched very easily. If they've been on for some time, you will also see how much the rest of the paint has faded.
Personally, I'd suggest giving it to a body shop to do. It shouldn't be much, and they have the right tools to remove the residue.
Mark.
