Question 97 RON

Hi since getting my scooby a couple of months ago i have been running it on 97 now to start with it was abit rough but now its fine! i was just wondering if this might have done any damage, as when we picked it up it had been sat with jap fuel in it, an then we just used 97 with no booster? could it still be causing damage?? I'm a bit unsure wheather to use octane booster or not as i'm told most only use it for days out???

If its a jap import make sure its run on optimax or 97 ron fuel. Best to use booster as well if its mapped for jap fuel. Reason it ran rough at first was probally the change of fuel grade. Over time the ecu will adapt to what you put in it.

If the ECU will adapt to what fuel you put in it then can you use 95 ron unleaded and run it in for a few months (no thrashing it) to let the ECU adapt to it?
