Its just becuse i have seen some for sale in the autotrader (99's and 2000's). There is no mention of import, but I always thought that a non-special edition in Sonic would be an import

Terzo, 22B and P1 were the only cars to officially come in this colour in the UK. There was also a fairly similar 'reddish blue' available for a time. Other than that it's most likely a Euro import.

Would that be a parellel type import rather than the supposed "grey" types from Japan (Jap Spec)

They are likely to be parallel imports - I got a sonic blue mid-level spoiler for my Terzo from a guy in the Republic of Ireland, where sonic blue was available as a standard option on MY99/00's.

The P1 and Terzo do seem to be slightly different shades of blue, when I had chipsaway round they had two shades of paint code 74F (which seems to defeat the point of a code, but hey ho).

I've got a MY99 Sonic Blue Impreza. It was first registered in Dublin and is classed as an EU import. Insurance is the same as UK cars and Subaru don't mind servicing it.

Only thing worth mentioning is that it won't have been covered under Subaru warranty from day 1. Other than that same as UK cars. I love Sonic Blue and couldn't afford a P1 and couldn't find a terzo which IIRC are MY98 and therefore don't have 4 pots brakes and the 209BHP engine as apposred to the 215 in MY99/00

Hope that helps.
