Chipping a 1997 Subaru
Can you chip a 1997 Subaru ( u k ) as i have had an exhaust fitted and now it is overboosting , is there a chip that will cope with the extra boost .
Or is a dawes device a good way forward ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????

Now then.
I believe the MY 97 and 98 cars have a bitch of an ECU to remap as they dont accept a piggyback chip like the older versions. I would simply fit a dawes device to cure the problem, I did with mine and its spot on now.

97 - 98 can take a piggyback board, but its not that easy, dawes should help stop the spiking, a dawes is not a normal bleed valve.. it has a spring and ballbearing.

J W RACING BOOST CONTROLER CAME TODAY SO WILL BE FITTING IT TONIGHT SO MR WALLIS YOU WILL HEAR ME GOING UP AND DOWN A 58 ( NO CAMARAS AND SOME NICE BENDS ) ALL NIGHT IF THE THING CURES THE PROBLEM.
