Default Parallel feed

I have been told it is a good idea to switch my fuel rails to parallel feed. what is this, how is it done and is it worth while?

I belive it ensures each injector gets get an equal amount of fuel and prevents leaning out on 1 cylinder(correct me if i`m wrong someone)
