Question What power do you think?

Hi all,

Just wondering what power I should get with the following mods:

Unichip mapped for Optimax
APS cold air feed induction
APS SR30 turbo
Hybrid Front Mount Intercooler
550cc injectors
Walbro GSS 341 up rated fuel pump
AFR
Full decat Magnex exhaust.

All this is on a MY97 UK turbo.

Any help would be great.

You can't run a Unichip with bigger injectors, I was planning to run 550's with a Unichip on my MY97 then found out it can only use the standard injectors. I went for a Power FC mapped by Andy F in the end.

Your best bet would be an Apexi Power FC mapped by Andy F. It's a great ECU for the price, and a damn sight cheaper than a Link/Gems/Motec.

You can run the Unichip with bigger injectors, but PowerFC would give you more control as DreXel says.

But for an SR30 I think you might get away with 380s run at higher fuel pressure.

Yes, expensive waste of time - get a VF30/34/35/TD05, 380s at raised fuel pressure can go quite a long way - power depends on the rollers you use.

Ok, so can you tell me why I would want a VF30/34/35 etc over the SR30?

As you ahve far more knowledge on this the information would be very helpfull.

Many thanks

SR30 doesn't seem to make any more power, or do it with any less lag than cheaper VF3x or TD05.
