Hooray - a cheap mod that works!!
Just had my rear drop links changed as recommended by others - What an amazing change for the price (about £35). The car now feels completely together and much more solid when cornering. I haven't a clue what they do as I'm a driver not a grease monkey! Would heartily recommend it to anyone. I can't believe the difference in a car that already has great handling.
For info got a set of alloy bars with nylon bushes from CAMSPORT in Wales.
Anyone got any other cheap mods that work - any fool can get results by throwing money at a problem.

Hi surfer boy
Is your car a classic. If so change the rear ARB to a whiteline adjustable and get a bumpsteer and full geometry setup at Powerstation. It transforms the handling no end. Understeer- what understeer, just a small amount of oversteer, but if you its coming you can correct for it.

Think the whiteline adjustable ARBs are about £90. I got mine from JW Racing. The car is still very predicatable when throwing it around, it slides more progressively - makes it even more fun.

I had the full suspension set up and bumpsteer removal at Powerstation on my MY94 STi. Also fitted the rear solid anti roll bar links. The difference in handling was unbelievable and the understeer was gone. The front tyres wear dead flat across the tread too.
The plastic anti roll bar links deform and dont allow the rear anti roll bar to do the job of reducing body roll at the back properly.
