Exclamation ABS Problem

I have a problem with my ABS The light keeps coming on and the brake pedal sometimes goes stiff then back to normal the feeling when the ABS comes on. Anybody any ideas, Sounds expensive to me. The car is a uk Turbo MY00

Where abouts are you? i am in Hampshire and have the diagnostics to check ABS systems (and others) static and on the road 'live' readings.

I will also be at the Alton meet

Sounds like the ABS sensors are misreading.

It could be a simple case of cleaning with brake cleaner and an air line (if available).
The rears are trapped inside the disc/drum and can collect metal filings that magneticly atach to the sensor and cause it to misread.
The sensor then tells the ABS modulator that the brakes are locking on that wheel.

Either that or the main modulator/pump is knackered (hopefully the former)
