Default Question about relocating coolant reservoir

In order to fit some custom intercooler piping, I need to relocate the coolant overflow reservoir. I was thinking of simply replacing it with a small bottle. My question is, does it matter what height the bottom of the container is located or can I just place the container anywhere in the engine bay? I am assuming that the container may be placed at a specific height for siphoning, am I correct in my assumption?

Thanks for the link, but I am referring to the overflow reservoir that is located near the battery.

Oh yes must get my eyes tested, As long as the height is similar (i,e Feed height), postion will not matter.
