Post OEM Intercooler Upgrade - ?

How can i upgrade my intercooler on MY98, without having to put a front mount in? (budgets limited)

I was thinking something like an STI 8 with Water injection....

Any thoughts appriciated...

Depends on your power goals....you seem to have many questions, as I did about going TD05.

Maybe easier to answer in one place?.....

I'll answer it over there once you've replied

its not as easy a fit as you might hope plus you need the intercooler splitter to make it work properly

i recently R&R'd mine with a td05 turbo and a uprated tmic i usually run 1.6/1.7 bar on the road but on the rollers i only made 1.2 bar and my car made 315bhp, but i have RA gearing so ive been told that affects the power output due to the gearing as i think mine does about 120mph in 4th where the uk gears do about 140mph

You got any more info on that swap, stevebt, ie, did you change the clutch reservoir or just shorten the original, and what did you end up doing about the splitter? The other thing I've been wondering, does the i/c ever hit the bulkhead in use...looks like they almost touch!

How about a Hybrid FMIC. Cheaper than an APS "uprated" top mount.
Around £570. P.M. me if you are interested. Lots of guys on here are running them.
