Question Removing the cup holder in a classic

HTF does this thing come out, I've undone the two visible screws but the damn thing won't budge.

I know they do come out as I have seen Defi controllers and other toys in there!

for classic wrx's

to remove the cup holder undo the 2 screws either side and 2 screws at the gearstick rubber gator
that removes the surround
this allows you to remove the full radio assembly by undoing the 4 screws visable
extract the radio assembly loosen the side screws and the cup holder should be removable
im unsure if uk spec are the same but i guess similar

You need to take the dash top storage bin out (2 screws), then undo the bolt behind the cupholder that secures it in the dash, I think.
