Default can anyone help?

hi, i have my98 terzo, the problem am haveing is if the car stalls then it won't start up straight away. ive had the AA out twice all they have done both times is just poked abt and the car has started eventually. nobody can pin point the problem. also the fuel fillter is abit loose in the holder, is it ment to be a tight fit or like this.

Don't think the fuel filter holder is the problem, but check that the rubber seal, that goes around the filter (between it and the clip) is in place - probly missing.

When the car stalls and won't restart - is it hot or cold - If you start the car cold and stall before its warm, they're usually a sod to start, for a couple of reasons... Plug position and type primarily - my old MR2 had plat plugs - if you started it and then stopped straight away (say - pulling up the driveway), it could take 10 or 20 mins to start it !!!

The Impreza is the same - Though it should be ok once its warmed up ....

The car is warm when it stalls.
