Hi

It is all to do with your exhaust system and remap
The bigger the system the better and it sounds the nuts
I have a 3.5” APS system on my UK300 with a remap and now it is at 285Bhp with 315 of torque. I am running 1.28 Bar boost and because there is no back pressure at all the turbo spools up at about 2500 – 3000 RPM

Before I had a Scoobysports up and down pipe with a Magnex system on it and only made 270Bhp and 260 of torque and no sound track.
So the bigger the better and the APS is 3.5” internal diameter not external and is a straight as a it can be

Decat it and put a decent exhaust on it at the same time. Should result in better torque and better spool-up. Do a search for details but I think Scoobysport and Blitz would be two to consider. One's quite quiet, the other's anti-social and could result the car getting ASBO'd out of town

Dawes device can also help here but be careful as they can cause det. problems during spool-up. Hope you have a knocklink.

The power dosent seem to come in until about 3500rpm
Sounds like the typical characteristics of a TD05 - Replacing the Downpipe with an aftermarket fitment will help the turbo spool and fitting a Scoobyecu will increase the boost and optimise the maps to run safely on 98Ron (UK). Would also be a good idea to fit a knocklink to monitor for DET if you are considering raising the boost
The Dawes Device is another method of raising the boost but would be advisable to have setup with a Wideband Lambda and DET cans if the management is not modified to suit as your car is of JDM origin which will be mapped for 100Ron fuel and will DET more readily on UK fuel with no booster

Cheers
