My 93 STi is developing cold start problems,
It struggles to fire up from cold and when it does the revs are up and down and it stalls if i'm not careful, once it's warmed up it runs sweet?

Also when i started it today i got quite a lot of smoke coming from the exhaust, mainly white smoke but if i revved it some black smoke as well (though not a lot)
Again when it had been running a few minutes this went away and it was fine,
Any ideas what the problems are?

 

are the rad fans coming on when you first start it?

Do you have a CEL on the dash?

have you reset the ecu?

 

Don't self diagnose take it in.......

 

It's off to Well lane tommorow for an oil change now so i'll asl them, thanks for the help though
