The aircon in my Terzo (MY98) has decided to stop working.

What's happening is:

Dash A/C light is not coming on at all
If you have the switch in the on position and start the engine the compressor starts (the compressor sits on the top right, looking into the engine bay from the front, I hope) - not getting any cold air, though.
If you push the switch into the off position then the compressor won't restart until you turn the engine off and on again.

I've tried swapping fuses/relays over but no joy so far. The system was regassed last year, and I assume that even if the gas had come out the light should still go on.

Typical that this has happened as soon as the weathers got good

Anyone got any ideas?

sounds like the bulb in the A/C switch has gone,

I've had the system recharged in my car a couple of months ago, wrked fine, now has packed up again, so there must be a leak in there somewhere,

Anyway, A/C systems must be used regularly, or the gas dissipates, in my old V6 mondeo, I had to use the A/C for at least 15mins a month so would think the same thing applies
