Remapping Question
Hi I'm a scooby newby, I've just traded my type-r in for a 53 plate sti type-uk and am loving it.
I have noticed it needs to be above 3k rpm before it gets going and have been told by the dealer the ppp sorts this out nicely for two grand.
My question is I have read posts about the Ecutek 2 remap which sounds better value, but will it require a SS exhaust and a uprated fuel pump like the ppp? I want to keep the car as original as possible for the period of the warranty.
Cheers any advise would be appricated.

Do you have to upgrade the fuel pump and remove the cat to avoid potential damage to engine?
Also what are Subaru like with warranty issues, Honda were fairly good with my type-r.

STI PPP is very good!
I'm sure that there are better conversions
and I'm sure that there are faster conversions
but only one will keep you warranty, and the dealer is correct when they say
that it will sort out the "Nothing -> Wallop" characteristics of the STI UK
See the following thread for my recent PPP fitting. I absolutely love the car now........
