Default Phase 1 & Phase 2 engine differences Help!!

What are the differences between these engines? Im trying to decide which STI to go for, V4 OR V5! Any advice por's and cons please.

the year.. v4 is 98 iirc v5 is 2k.

I would get a v5.. nicer interior, better brakes, facelifted, more ecu options, etc

other differences are with the crank and bearings, heads, inlet manifold etc..

Does all this make it a better base engine to get around 350bhp with supporting mods. would the internals cope with it?
