My Scooby is poorly
Have noticed my car sounds like a second hand washing machine, on the spin cycle, when at idle. Took to main dealer for 3yr service, has 26,000 miles on clock. Dealer concerned that may be significant and may need to keep car for full week.
Car under Subaru extended warranty, so no issues with cost. Am sure dealer knows what problem is and not saying. No loss of power or excess oil/petrol consumption. Car is UK300 with PPP. Any ideas please?

Its covered by warranty, dont worry about it too much just drop it off and let them do their work. It will be hard for anyone to tell you exactly whats up with the car without hearing it, it could be something catching or it could be something serious, you just dont know in most cases unless you investigate (either by stripping the engine or looking in to the enginebay with the engine running).

Thanks Tony, but I do worry, the courtesy car they've offered is a "punto". Oh God I think I will have to persuade my husband to swap cars.
