Default Experiences with GEMS

Just after a few opinions here folks...i've just had a GEMS fitted to my 99 car with td05 and the relevant mods inc headers etc. The only thing im missing is a FMIC which i didnt think i'd need but the top mount is heat soaking the power even with the water spray on, and to be honest the car doesnt feel that much quicker than before with the TEK 2 and it seems to run a lot hotter. So if i go front mount and another remap am i likely to notice much difference in power or is it just for added safety????

Think about this:
My friend had an StiRA v3, stock engine, decat exhaust, GEMS, TMIC = 300bhp, drove very nice.
He added water injection, FMIC and a remap (on rolling road) = 348 off the RR

The car persistantly blew off hoses under full bore driving, there are so many joints/clips etc to vibrate and fail. He forever chased the weakest link.

But 48 bhp is a big gain.
